Hi everyone ,
i have managed to do a few more hours out in the shed today , and I have worked on the fish project ,
and todays main task was to sand and then pattern the top main dorsel fin ,
Once i had sanded the bulk of the first coat of filler down that was already on the fin
I then used car filler and an applicator technique to put back on the fish the lines that give it the curved ,
laid look back on to the fin.
So now there’s even more sanding
Then it was time for a bit of eye surgery but just then in the planning stage for that things turned to disaster.
I put a piece of rolled up sticky masking tape on the back of one of the pair of fake glass eyes that I have brought for the job and I stuck it on the fish in place for a bit of a stickybeak ,
But before I could step back the glass eyeball fell off the fish to somewhere?
Oops
My shed isnt really the cleanest but I thought that I saw it actually fall and I heard a noise so I thought in one direction ,
so I got down on my hands and knees and I began sifting through everything and I prayed.
No good ,
except my bin was now full and my floor in that section of the shed was much tidier .
I had to just give up and come to the conclusion it had gone to the God’s and ill have to order and pay for a new set.
Bugger
For some reason then i moved the rubbish bin and lifted up the matt under it and that was in the completely opposite direction that I had just looked for the eye and bugger me ,
there is the missing glass eye,
Looking straight at me
lol
Im now so much happier and back on the job .
In the pics that are posted here you can see one of the new glass eyes that I have sitting temporarily in place for a look and there is also a short video after the pics of the actual eye surgery.
I hope you are having a nice day
Its now Back to it for me .
Cheers xxx
