Here I sit relaxing and listening to Santana rifts and songs and I’m still dreaming of finishing off another project.

Every recording studio has a heart 

Its the artists of course but second to that would have to be the mixer ,
So may I present to you mine.

Its a powered  ,
Analog sound mixer 
It actually has 32 input channels and it came to me with a history and  a great review and reference.

So when I had my brainwave of making a music studio a friend told me that I would need to buy a mixer,

I didn’t  really know much about them back then and he recommended that i buy myself a digital one as they were cheep and analog was long dead and gone .

I went away thinking that sux ,
I was getting sick of hearing faultless digital music ,
and sometimes I miss the old school stuff.

So i started looking out on the internet for a suitable mixer and there was absolutely millions of of them ,
They were mostly all digital.
One add just popped up in front of me ,
and there she was .

I contacted the seller and we arranged a suitable pick up agreement.

When I turned up there ,
I was shocked at the sheer size if it,
In the pics you see its actually sitting on most of a full size dining table,
its an absolute beast.

I so when I spoke to the man that was selling it to me ,
Turns out it was on behalf of,
And I do hope that I get this right
The Northcote TAFE.

He told me of its rich history as the realisable sound provider of the Nortcote theatre ,
until ,
Like the rest of the world they decided to go digital.

The mixer had found itself a brand new home at the tafe  ,
And the students gave it an absolute flogging,
Until they also decided to ditch analog and go full digital.

Thus the sale.

We discussed my plans for it with no promised time frame ,
and he asked if it would be possible to for him to bring his students to my place for lessons when I eventually get my act together.

I said sure  that sounds really cool to me .

Unfortunately i have forgotten his name but he was the man in charge of music at the school.
Im sure that he will find me when it’s  eventually sorted.

So to the people reading this that know little about music equipment ,
This mixer is capable of plugging thirty two singers  microphones in at once with their very own own channel .

You have enough pots on this baby to mike up a whole drum kit ,
cymbals and all with heaps of leftover spots .
So its pretty special

But I’m also coming up with new ideas for the area and I’m a bit closer now than I was yesterday.

I have a few more good surprises in store ,
But I have absolutely no plan I’m just putting something  really awesome together .
That I believe a lot of people will get to enjoy.
And record themselves.

I had a  double slot tape deck that  i have hidden somewhere ,
That I’m trying to find
but it will show up
When it’s supposed to .
