Hello everyone

Things with dad are steady changing now and he is having falls and hurting himself more often and just  watching his mates die all around him  ,

So i am finding it a little difficult to deal with as he is now completely falling apart
If i walk in his room he say hello and ask him how he is
He  says that he doesn’t know
And he doesn’t

I can no longer really have meaningful conversations with him ,
as his mind winds down a bit more every day now .

So honestly i haven’t visited him as much lately and i have told him the reasons why ,
A few times
and he graciously understands me .

So it was fantastic on Thursday ,
as Dylan and  Berryl brought the  new twin Gardner  Yann girls over to mums  to say a quick hello and goodbye again as they prepare to return to the United States

Dad sleeps a lot now so he was nodding on and off on the chair when the crew arrived

At one stage dad had one if the girls in his arms standing up and i think in my mind to myself
Look at that

They say that you come into this world in nappies and if you are lucky enough to live long enough you go back out in nappies

This is so true

But i think its what happens in your life in between that ,
That really counts

I thought look at his bloodline
As the wheels of nature replaces the old with the new

The ever ticking clock of time that keeps on rolling
Sometimes we don’t  even notice
Dad actually kissed his great grand daughters one at a time , and that surprised me a bit 

So I was a bit jealous for one second ,
as he has never ever really kissed me

So instead i kissed him when our time was done , he baulked
But i landed it

Its strange because
Even though he is deaf ,
he always hears what i say,
and the way things are at the minute I’m mostly trying to to crack jokes and make him grin and i actually can,
as we have the same sort of warped sense of humour

So in conclusion i believe we all need to be nice to everyone else
Help each other
And smile and try to enjoy today as it may be your last one on Earth
