Just a thought about my post a few days ago , on both solar and wind power that I suggested to be installed on all suitable power poles all around the country,
So with the recent massive Victorian power outages , the financial cost to local buisness and the economy alone would be massive ,
I’d hate to estimate,
And given if my idea and plan was developed and installed in the future.
Most of the disruption we just had to electricity services would be avoided , and remain isolated.
Because it has been mentioned that most of our power comes from just a few feeds making us completely vulnerable to uncontrolled incidents like we just endured.
With the system I am suggesting ,there would be an almost constant green power source being fed into the lines at regular intervals ,
with battery back up ,
all over the country and it would certainly almost prevent most large disasters like now , and that is still continuing for some customers that are still without power
I think it’s a valid , cleaver and feasible idea to bring Australia’s power supply into this century and the government needs to take it into consideration and future fund the development and installation of the project ,
The amount Australian and international buisness has lost over the past few days would certainly fund the project
And to top it off Australia will reach its carbon neutral target well ahead of schedule.
