Unfortunately It seems that it’s not to far off in the future Lisa ,
Our generation it seems to bother us all a lot as it’s been a major part of our lives , and we argue against its demise but when you step back take a good look at things it’s certainly transitionally well and truely under way ,
like for just one small example ,in the supermarkets ,we are directed into self serve checkouts that now mostly are card only , and basically forced to use card or wait longer for a free cash booth . And they slowly remove cash booths for card only
The younger generation , our children don’t actually see a cashless society as a problem at all, as they say we all have our banking now on our smart phones and it’s simple to do a bank account transfer with someone else , so they ask what’s the problem?
It’s no big deal dad .
Let’s hope that the use of cash isn’t gone forever down the track and we don’t see the end of it completely
But slowly and surely it has now become nearly a completely digital world ,and unfortunately the trend is set to continue .
And the circulation of cash will continue to decline to the point the government will say it’s irrelevant we are going to remove it from public circulation,
I do love cash ,
but I do feel that , that day is coming , along with a lot of other major changes .
Hopefully not for a long time
Cheers xxx
