We really can’t afford to spend money of this magnitude on anything…

We really can’t afford to spend money of this magnitude on anything here In Australia Robert, because we don’t actually have the money and as a nation we would have to borrow the funds.
This will have the following effects to our economy and it will raise the national debt significantly and the accompanying interest bill that will come with that burden of extra national borrowings .
It will also make our dolllar much weaker internationally and in turn it will certainly lift the prices of all imported goods across the board.
This in turn will lift the spiralling inflation rate even higher that then will directly drive our rising interest rates higher again , with people allready struggling to service their mortgage repayments it will become much more tougher.
As for the twenty thousand jobs quoted by the prime minister I would beg to differ , as a great number of those jobs will not be ongoing so I feel that this quote is totally misleading to the Australian public .
With our country in so much debt that we can’t service the loans without privatising and selling our public assets ,
so who in their right mind would commit our country to such a massive increase in our national debt?
It’s time we Australians actually take on and tackle our debt problem not increase it marginally.
Otherwise we will one day own nothing here , but we will eventually rent back our own houses
Fair dinkum
Cheers
