Aboriginality level

I am confused  !.

Can somebody please explain to me how much local Aboriginal has to be in your blood, before you are considered to be an Aborigine, or as they prefer to be called a ” Koori “.
I am not wanting to offend anybody, but if it is going to be written into our Constitution, then there has to be a  cut off figure out there.
I believe that figure  in Western Australia it’s 25%, and I stand to be corrected.
Other States just require you to be accepted into an Koori Community and you are in, even if you are of non Koori Decent.

I cannot figure it out !

Do we DNA test everyone claiming to be “Koori”, so they qualify for benefits ?
It’s a very contentious subject, and I can only hope that what ever happens, it’s the best for everyone and nobody is worse off.

After all “we are one”, but just this moment in time that seems to be forgotten.
