So I arrived back at the footy oval campsite with the two dogs in tow so l hit the street at
Port Dougless , and at one end of the street there was a small supermarket where I went to buy the dogs some food , there was a reduced for sale section of older meat so I grabbed a few packs of things there and proceeded to the counter where the owner of the store met me and asked if they were for the dogs tied up out the front,
I said yes, so he said I can have those packs to me for free because he was a dog lover and they were great .
So , He sort of sponsored Kenny and Buster and he fed them both daily.
I was feeling tired so I went back to camp for a laydown. There was some sort of disagreement going on , on facebook back home and it was about something going on and I said the person was on drugs.
It started a bit of a war on the Internet with people all over joining in the argument.
So I had decided that night to go on a bit of a mission around town and I made a tether for both of the dogs on to one lead and that evening after dinner we left on a mission , where I held the lead in my right hand the one with the massive cut with the idea that the dogs by pulling would slightly re-tear the wound open again with pressure so it would heal much stronger.
We walked everywhere that night with the dogs choosing the way we went completely ,
if they went left, I went left. If they chose to go through someone’s yard, we went through someone’s yard.
It was a long night of stamina but by Dawn somehow we arrived back at the footy oval and the dogs both collapsed in a heap and they slept most of the day.
I have photos of everything I’ve said somewhere in storage but I’m not sure exactly where they are to go along with every story.
So by the time it was evening the fight on was getting worse on facebook with so many different people joining in and for some reason I decided I was gonna go to ironbark hotel in Port Douglas
I had chosen that Hotel as my go to spot as a local Wonthaggi man
Shane Loughnan was the publican and his mother Glennis had decorated the inside so magnificently it was just amazing to see ,
And it was already late at night and I just hang out the front there, I took Buster with me but left Kenny back at camp and I sat outside the entrance to the ironbark on a bench seat and I waited .
To my surprise when it finished one of the first blokes to exit was a person that I knew from Wonthaggi. He saw me and started going off about what I had wrote on the Internet so we also had a bit of a heated argument and then he left.
As the crowd then steadily funnelled out of the pub out came out a young man , he looked at me and Buster and pointed and said that’s my dog.
I say it couldn’t be and he said I lost him Three weeks ago. I can’t remember where he said it was he lost the dog but it was some 200 km inland.
He asked me where I found him. I told him the truth in the Daintree rainforest he said that’s impossible. That’s 300 km away from where I lost him.
Like I had to think quite honestly, what Bloke will come out of the Pub at 1am and Claim that I have his dog?
So my decision was to sadly return Buster to his rightful owner but much to his delight.
But I still have Kenny waiting for me back at camp. So I headed back there and the next morning. I took a look at the wound on my arm. It was infected badly by now and the peroxide wasn’t killing it so I decided to go to the doctors and have a look at it .
At the Doctors they had a look and tested it on the spot and I have picked up a rare sea bug infection in my arm so I required a course of antibiotics to rectify the problem.
So I I’m now on the program.
I must have had to go back to Smithfield. For some reason.
So I’ve called into a shop that evening to buy something to eat after a bit more of reading of the posts on the Internet fight that I had started.
Facebook pulled it down in the end .
When I pulled into the car park, the cops pulled in next to me and we had a bit of a chat. They decided to take me in because of the Internet fight for a Mental health assessment .
They took me to a hospital to wait for an assessment, which at this stage, I didn’t actually pass , requiring me to be admitted into hospital for treatment.
In the background the police took my car into storage and my trailer and unbeknownst to me , Sash took Kenny and my mate Simon just happened to be visiting another mate in Port Douglas with his wife.
They both organised to fly Kenny home and have him stay and wait for me at his brothers place and my mate Joe’s farm.
Ben then came up to see me so I had a visitor or someone I knew and was comfortable with close to me.
I tried and fought as hard as I could to stay in Queensland.
They refused to let me out of hospital until I agreed to return back to Victoria so I guess with my arguing, I stayed there a little longer than I could’ve.
Ben had flown home, and I followed him that way in the car back to Victoria My Home state,
Along the way a few weeks earlier, I had taken Kenny to the vet for something and I saw a man with beautiful female Jack Russell dog in the Vet that was the mother of some beautiful puppies and I’d asked the man how much the pups were gonna be ? So I thought it was a reasonable price so I picked out a beautiful girl pup and I bought her , she was fit for a princess and Ironically the day before I left they were ready to pick up so I met up with the man and picked her up ,
She kept me company all the way home sitting on my lap and when we got home to the farm, she would snuggle up in the kennel with Kenny.
I was fairly heavily medicated and in a bit of a slump when I got back to the farm, so the dogs just stayed tied up to the kennel, day after day and one day Simon
Must’ve stopped the car on his way past and he took the pup with him to be some company for him,
he ended up keeping that pup and still has her to this day.
Her name is lolly short for lollipop and she’s starting to get a bit older now but she’s been a great dog and great company for Simon
So some good came out of the trip after all.
So you could say I was back home living in Victoria my car was a bit worse for wear but I just patched it up.
And I got it going again ,
I have also run into that man from Wonthaggi out side the iron bark hotel that night and we are sweet with no hard feelings .
So now it was continue on with my adventures.
Cheers xxx
