That was my next post brother , to encourage everyone to now go to IGA’s to shop every time it’s possible, if we are going to be serious about supporting ourselves , the supermarket IGA is a great place to start , as the one in Wonthaggi doesn’t have to any self serve checkouts so it’s more of a personal service with a smile and the best thing Richies actually donate a percentage of the money that you spend directly to a local charity of your choice, so besides good service they offer the community that reward,
So the choice is obvious and if you do go to Safeway or Coles try and line up at the manned register instead of self serve and then let’s all put some pressure on the major supermarkets to lift their game as they make record profits every year,
with disregard to proper customer service and the provision of youth jobs in our community’s
I will be going into Iga as often as I can now , as my card is ready to use , but I have to admit that they don’t carry as much verity of stock as they are just a smaller store , so you will have to still buy some items at one of the other stores, although I can see this changing sometime in the future because if a lot more people shop there and they do help our community with benefits , they will be then forced to open a new bigger store to cater for our new increased demand , ironically the old coles store near the police station would be an ideal location for a new Richies store ,
I guess it’s all up to you ,
Good shopping choices are a community benefit,
Cheers
