Hello everyone, I was given a few crackers or bunga’s from a shed clean out .
They had lost most of the powder out of the wick so they had not much chance of going off so I thought that id text them all out and see what happens,
So when I was a young boy and I have written about it previously, but for a month you could scrounge scrimp and save and spend every cent you had on more crackers .
So with the six or so bangers out to the back table , there were big ones snd small ones, to choose from so I chose a big one first .
So I lit it and the wick let off a spluttering glow as the time on the wick was short now,
I braced myself for the bang , I half , winced before the mini explosion.
It went bang loudly its just that doesn’t show on the video.
That loud paper cracking explosion even from such a small one reminds me of the dangers with the use of fireworks and kids .
The hospitals were always over run on guyforks night by injured people,
From severe burns to deafness .
This is why it was eventually banned by the government.
But It was the most fun night ever with friends family at a bonfire

or even whole neighbourhoods all just getting out there together in fun.
Im not sure that bonfire night has ever been replaced as a community ritual ,
but I guess when you think about it

Halloween has sort of stepped up to the plate and provided a different sort of night for the kids of all ages to get together , dress up and collect hopefully , treats and they all seem to have as much fun as we did for guyforks .
I didnt have much of a thought about Halloween when people in Australia started to celebrate it.
I was sorta American, we don’t celebrate that here in Australia, but as the years have passed and its never too far out of my mind as its actually my son Dylan’s birthday on Halloween.
So it’s important to me.
Now after my cracker story above I can really appreciate Halloween .
I might even celebrate it this year .
So many people love

it.
Are trick’s allowed?
Cheers xxx
