When it comes to EV’s , I believe that It depends on how you calculate out the cost of producing the electricity you use to recharge is generated as all forms are at a different production cost, that you will charge your car with
Then you need to add on the extra charges by the retailer in the costs of manufacturing the charging station also.
But I think in a lot of countries that the power used to recharge vehicles is still generated by fossil fuel burning ,
In Australia that’s certainly the case and in our remote areas the government they have set up diesel generators running and burning diesel to charge your car when you plug in.
So I guess your EV isn’t that environmentally friendly after all
The cheapest option would be to plug your vehicle in at home
Or in the future manufacture electric vehicles to re charge also from solar power , by using a spray paint that is really a microscopic solar blanket all over your car’s exterior,
So when you park in the daytime outside your vehicle charges and when you park under lights in a car park at night it also charges ,
Then we move towards a more environmentally friendly EV
And a cleaner World
