Glenn Sullivan well electric cars may be ok Glenn if you don’t drive any distance as they have to be constantly recharged .

I saw a video the other week from the USA  with a line of cars at least four km long and I first thought it was another crispy cream donut shop opening in Melbourne , but when they got to the end of the cue there was a service station for electric cars with about forty bays  full of people loitering around while they were recharging their cars ,

What a joke it takes ages to charge also so I thought what if you were late for work ?

Really  it is an absolute dismal effort put in by the vehicle manufactures , as with modern technology one would think that they could easily integrate solar cells into the bonnet and roof and boot or tail gate on the vehicle so it both charges when you are driving and when you are parked minimising down time at the servo ,

If your battery was low , at least if it’s sunny your vehicle could be designed to go into a limp mode and limit your speed  so you can still get to your destination without going completely flat and requiring a tow truck or mobile charge vehicle  to rescue you , another alternative is to integrate a petrol generator into your boot area  but that defeats the purpose doesn’t it , so the other one is for country drivers  that have to travel vast distances , is of course a hybrid with both solar assist and petrol and electric all in one and  is the only sensible choice for us country folk

But there is room for both technology’s in the near future  for sure but I personally love the hydrogen one as its pollution is oxygen , and electric cars produce so much pollution in their production and the left overs when the vehicle life is spent mostly due to battery failure

Cheers xxx
