Hello everyone,
I went and dropped in on Dad earlier today ,
It was lunchtime in fact and i found him sitting at a dining table with Peter and Sue ,
They were all pleased to see me and offered me a chair .
i said hi to Dad and I told him to start eating his lunch as he is so slow at eating now that if he talked to me he would still be sitting there eating his lunch at dinner time .
So I mostly talked to Sue and Peter,
With no hearing aids
It was like I was an oldie, with me asking Sue what?
For our entire conversation.

She told me that she loves reading my stories which is such a nice thing to hear.
We spoke about Australian politics and current affairs while i sipped my coffee.
As luck has it today desserts were wheeled around and delivered to everyone on the tables on a mobile trolley cart.
The Lovely young lady serving them asked if I would like one ?
I accepted the offer and i reached over and stole the spare spoon on the trolly to help me demolish the sweet that came special,
in a glass.
The conversation continued with everyone’s voices more muffled from eating sweets and harder for me to understand .
I finished my delicious dessert and then Sue kindly offered me hers ,
Hmm
Why not just have sweets for lunch ?
I think that my special diet allows the calories.
And I think that secretly Sue was trying to sweeten me up in case i happen to find myself a date.
She made sure that she pointed out a few of the single staff members that she thought may be suitable
Lol
How cute

So at the end of lunch I got time to talk to dad on his own.
Of course I asked him how he was,
He responded
Im good.
He is still coming to terms with his change in life circumstances,
But he is slowly getting used to the idea that things have now dramatically changed at home and that now mum is actually in full control of all of the decisions about everything ,
and that now actually nothing on the outside is going to be his decision any more .
Now that his life is different.
I am happy to see him accepting it and he is settling in nicely at Rose Lodge where he is a popular resident and he has some lifelong friends that are also living there,
and he gets and they all get ,
such great and genuinely loving care ,
Its
All around him .
So I want to give a big special Christmas

shout out and lots of love to all of the staff and residents of
Rose lodge .
May peace be with you all.
Cheers xxx
