Hello everyone ,
Im a bit excited as I have got most of the base colours of paint that I need to  refinish and paint my fish project.

I have decided to use top quality automotive two pack paint to refinish Kylie in ,
and I  was once a panel beater in town and now there are only two panel shops left ,
Greg’s and Pete’ s
I have actually done a bit of work for both men and I have no real preference as  who to ask about the paint as both of them wouldn’t hesitate to help me out .

Pete’s shop was the closest so that’s how  I chose his shop to call into first to organise my materials.
Pete is a really well renowned painter in the industry and as a excellent and talented hot rod painter .

So we both discussed the concept that I was looking at for my project and the method for the application of the base coat and the clear coat that will follow.

The paint brand  that i will be using is made by  Glasurit  ,
a renowned and  top of the range refinishing product  that’s made especially for the high end paint industry and its a top quality product.

I always wanted to have a go at painting dime Glaz as i heard its challenging and now here is my chance.

We both spoke about using the longest lasting and least yellowing clear possible to minimise yellowing that’s caused from clear having long uv exposure .

In time , It will be a bit like patina.

So today i got back to rubbing Kylie down in preparation for her final coats of paint .

But ,
Because im  so heavy handed still,
I got a few runs in the primer ,
So i then filled over them with  car bog and then I sanded them out busting through to the epoxy underneath in places .

I then took to the main top sail with some sealer to show the folds of skin ,
as Kylie raises it.
Ive done one coat of that and I’ll finish them all off tomorrow.

So now i have decided that it is now best to give Kylie just one more coat of primer , just to be sure before taking the plunge and spraying her true colours on ,

Is that pink and blue?

That’s something else .

So its primer again on Kylie tomorrow morning .

But they say that you cant rush a good thing.
Im not
Im actually being patient I believe.
