Max’s story part seven

Today I visited Max for his respite session but when his wife came to the door, she said he had a really really bad night and not to expect too much today.

I had bought with me. A couple of CDs of my favourite artist so we went to the big lounge and I put them on for us to just sit down and relax and listen to.

I noticed that out of the window Maxes  hay in round bales was done in the paddock, I asked him how many rolls he got. He said 62. That’s a good amount to get them through the season as the Shed from last year is still full. I’m not sure who the contractor he used as  he couldn’t remember and he doesn’t know also who’s gonna put them away but he said he’s going to , he still has got a tractor and he drives  around the farm, he asked me about Dad how he was going. I said no good. His toes are no good. He’s got three bad diabetic ulcers on his toes and he can hardly walk he is in that much pain?

So we just chatted and listen to the music he was a little bit quieter than usual, his Parkinson’s was acting up

but we spoke about someone I know. a young lady that just got diagnosed with Parkinsons disease, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles in life there’s no guarantees every day a bonus we should try and appreciate that even if it’s raining it’s still a good day .

every day is special and we need to realise how precious a good day is , as when  you’re dead who knows what happens?

So  that was it for the day get Rex a new collar and do a couple of things before going out to the Killy pub tonight to celebrate the New Year with my friends. I hope you have a new good New Year stay safe and enjoy yourselves.

Cheers xxx
