Russ Parker That is correct Russ and it raises the question how an offshore company like Aldi can set up a profitable supermarket chain of stores throughout Australia

🇦🇺

and with the associated costs actually manage to be marginally cheeper than Coles and Woolworths on most of their items basically without running specials .

What does this say for big two Australian

🇦🇺

 companies selling us groceries?

It tells me they because they have such a brand monopoly that they both constantly overcharge for their products and services,
some would say that the shareholders of those companies are entitled to make a reasonable return on their investment.

This is true but given if their actual groceries were marginally cheeper they would then attract more shoppers and turnover would increase.
It would relieve financial pressures on Australian families.
And put food on Australians tables.

Also more of the supermarkets profits would increase with higher turnover with a lesser margin and then those profits would stay in Australia.

Its no secret Aldi does send all its profits overseas. But people that cant afford the big twos prices flock there .
This is bad for our economy .

So in the future with peopleless  shopping coming at both Woolworths and Coles you can bet then even with the amount of money wages they will be saving saving, on wages that prices will still slowly rise , even though their running costs fall by a huge amount.

At least they cant now continue sell product shrunk grocery items , to us consumers, that was a massive money grab from manufactures ,
anymore in the future as the items we buy  are now so small that if they shrink them more there would be nothing left in the packets but air .

So with that manufactures trick you have to now buy more of their item to get the same amount, making your shopping cost even higher . And higher hidden  inflation .

Its a shame Richies stores arn’t all bigger as they are community based stores , that donate back to the community in real
$ dollars .
But they are a bit dearer on most items.

So the answer is to shop at Ritchies for what you can ,
and show the big two a message by walking with your feet .

Hmm
I guess Russ its
Food for thought

Cheers xxx
