Good -morning  class

Its time once again for our weekly environment awareness class and today for you  we have a lesson that you can all take home and talk to mum and dad about.

I just went shopping at my local community supermarket ,Richies today .I went shopping early today before school started children 

And when I went to pay at the cash register,
the man asked me if I wanted the receipt?

I replied no thanks I wish to save our 

 trees ,
As they are super important and they filter the air in our atmosphere and provide our native animals with shelter and a home.

The sad bit was that when the man opened up the cash register a receipt came out of it automatically and he quickly grabbed it , screwed it up and he tossed it into the bin.

Hmm
I believe that we actually need registers in use with a choice of receipts.
Why do we need receipts anyway ?
when all of your shopping information is already stored or linked directly electronically onto your rewards card .

So boys and girls,
If lots if your parents decide not to get a receipt when they can ,
the large amount of trees that we will save and it will help your planet stay healthy in the future for you and generations to come, and thats such a huge bonus.

We can all undertake a class exercise together and stick a cut out and nicely decorated tree up on display in the window so you can all then see every day just how much we are all now helping our planet. 

And in the  end kiddios , looking out your classroom window
You really wont see the new forest through the  trees .
