Hi Marcus ,
I think that the Federal budgeted figure is actually 32 billion dollars , but when factored in extra federal funding the figure rises ,
I don’t actually think that a loss to the voice vote is a loss to the indigenous communities in this country ,
it depends on how you look at it,
as it actually brings the current issues that they face right up into the public arena and into the forefront of everyone’s minds.
As a nation’ we do believe that we need to positively and steadily move forward and positively change things with regard to our complete management of indigenous affairs,
both in the now ,and the future , for all generations of our Aboriginal and Torres Straight islanders communities to be considered and with their best interests and good intent at heart ,
I would like to see the federal government now set up an enquirery and an audit into the network that is in charge of the distribution for all allocated funding for Aboriginal affairs in the past few years to date , , with the complete findings to be made public .
The public have a right to know where exactly their taxpayers dollars are being spent ,
I do feel that only a small portion of the funding actually reaches those in need that it was intended for .
Now
On another note , I think that now is the time for
Anthony Albanese to stand up as our prime minister and for everything he has been spruiking about during the whole Yes campaign , and back himself in , and now as our country’s leader take the steps to legislate the voice through the senate ,
as he has always been able to,
and that way all is not lost Marcus ,
on the contrary it’s a new beginning.
And the Tribes have their Voice
as our Australian prime minister has publicly stated that if it’s a No vote he will wipe his hands of the matter and move on , that’s a disgrace.
If that’s that case I believe he is unfit to lead our country anymore and should immediately resign
Cheers xxx
