Wages

David Allen Hi Menno  I think the trouble has been long brewing from the past with back in the day a lot of union unrest and strikes that had got and won Australian workers higher wages and  pay conditions ,
Mostly these rises were indexed and were not tiered to productivity increases  at all ,
and I guess that that was the start of the industrial rewind and the situation of slowly the closing down of most manufacturing in Australia and the disappearing of our goods at retail outlets.

Maybe instead  the unions and the employers historically could have got together and involved the workers in the actual running of the business ,
and it could have maybe been a co operative, which there has been a lot of successful ,
co operative businesses operate within Australia , one that comes to mind is Murray Goulburn  that was  extremely successful up until  a few years ago .,

So after that period of the days back when the unions were most powerful  and active in the fight for workers pay and conditions , Australian workers then began to expect to have a high standard of living and unfortunately we all were happy buying  cheaper imported goods , to maintain that  high standard of living

But it looks like  that has cost us as a society dearly , with the problems that are on us all now that we need to come up with some tactics as everything we are doing is just not working
To be 1.4 trillion dollars in debt is to me unacceptable
But our government think it’s ok and are happy to increase it.
Somehow we need a rethink
Cheers
