If so what?

The public shootings in Bondi were totally unpredictable ,
and It is an absolute Australian national tragedy .

Its is unfortunately a bit of an indicator of just how much unrest is bubbling below the surface and within the  modern Australian society.

We certainly do need to address and change some things in the future  to address the root causes of this type of horrific activity and hopefully then we can prevent more of the same type of home terror attacks from even occurring.

Gun laws are already pretty tough but maybe new applicants should be subject to a  full phycologist report,
as part of the  application prerequisite ,
These reports are expensive and very thorough and for that report to also then be assessed by the firearms licensing commissioner in each state and territory,
Just as a first step , asking the commissioner
for their  permission  to forward a new  license application.

Lots will fail.

This may not prevent another future shooting tragedy occurring,
But it will  definitely stop a few undesirable people from even being able to apply for a shooting license.

The ever increasing social and possibly related pressures and issues that all are Australian people are facing,
all need urgent governmental reviews

Such as

Unemployment
Electricity cost
The cost of living.
Homelessness
Financial Scams
Rental cost increases

All of the above situations can actually be addressed by our government.

But
With the financial state and the mess that they have our country in I doubt that they will be willing to actually take many steps at all.

But there are lots of things that can actually be done by us and the authorities to minimise situations like Bondi  from occurring again in Australia .

We just all as a nation need time to think and get our heads around the situation.

And make the changes necessary.
