When it comes to wind turbines.
They definitely aren’t as green as the manufactures and the Australian greens movement would have you believe
When you take into account all of the processes that are used in the construction and manufacture of these units and the amount of polluting carbon dioxide that is prodced in that process they don’t look so pretty after all
The government energy minister , Chris Bowen is pushing the government hard to take on and fully fund a massive renewables project to take the country nearer the carbon neutral target
On sky tv last night it was revealed that his plan will not be funded by the budget and funded directly by taxpayers , the ridiculous part is the amount of money we will spend will be top secret and written into the contracts of the instillation companies which will be mostly from overseas.
I think Australia should step back from this proposal as it’s estimated at costing taxpayers seventy billion dollars with no way of knowing the actual figure
We should use that money to directly tackle the cost of living crisis and our other domestic problems
One ponders the tho that if the government finance the supply and installation of these energy farms , who runs it ? Does the government retain ownership or does it transfer the responsibility of that to the installer?
With the development of e fuels maybe it’s a bit premature to go down this path
Cheers
