Hello everyone i went to Rose Lodge today to visit the old man

He has been falling over to much lately and he still tries to say and insist that he doesn’t need his walker and a stick will do ,
he recons

On the way to dads room Max was laying in the tv room and I stopped there for five minutes and to my complete amazement he actually talked to me
We talked about the Hawks and just how he is feeling
So when i left Max i had a smile on my face and i headed off to dads room

Mum was there but she was leaving and said goodbye 

There must have been something in the water as dad and I sort of had discussions like we usto

First came politics
I told dad that i have upset some One Nation supporters by telling them that Pauline Hanson can not be our Prime Minister after the next election

I told him how i delt  with it and i had told them to ring One Nations head office or the Australian 

 Electoral Commission to clarify my statement

He stated laughing 

 out loud and he found it really quite amusing and it tickled his fancy

Then the subject came to Dylby Roo and that she was up and on the trailer ready to finish prime and paint

What dad said next really surprised me

He said that i should advertise it for sale ,
before i paint it so that a new owner could paint it a colour that they  like

I said what?
I don’t want to sell it and that was never my intention with the project

Hmm ,
maybe he was going to take a commission
lol

Then came the serious talk about him falling over all the time
Of course i lectured him about using his walker and he told me it was all because of the type of detergent they were using to mop his floor and now they have changed that  

Hmm

I told him it a lot to do with his posture and not lifting his feet
I said to him that if you could  actually see dad ,
id film you walking and show you ,
as you think you are standing up straight when in fact you are so hunched over your face is nearly touching the ground
But i cant show you

So that was about it and we shaked hands and i left really pretty happy about everything for once

But theres no guarantee that will ever happen again
I hope it does

But thats  life

Mine anyway
